Princess Cruises has named British actress Hannah Waddingham godmother of the Sun Princess.

Waddingham is well known for her portrayal of Rebecca Welton in the Apple TV+ show "Ted Lasso." Her performance on "Ted Lasso" has earned Waddingham a Primetime Emmy, Critics Choice Television Award and Screen Actors Guild Award as well as two individual Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild nominations.
Waddingham's next project is Universal film "The Fall Guy" with Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt.

The Sun Princess began sailing in late February. Currently sailing Mediterranean itineraries, the ship will reposition in October for its first Caribbean season sailing out of Fort Lauderdale.
The Sun Princess is Princess' first Sphere-class ship. It can accommodate 4,300 guests at double occupancy.
The naming ceremony of the ship is set for April 23 at the Port of Barcelona.
