Holland America Line raises restaurant cover charges

Holland America Line has raised the charges on many of its specialty restaurants.

Effective Aug. 1, the cover charge for dining at the elite Pinnacle Grill went from $29 to $35 per person. At the Asian-themed Tamarind, the price rose from $20 to $25, and at the Canaletto Italian restaurant, the cover went to from $10 to $15.

Meals served once a cruise on select ships under the menus from Le Cirque and De Librije remain at $49 and $69, respectively.

Dining packages increased to reflect the underlying price increases in the restaurants. A package of two nights in the Pinnacle Grill goes from $52 to $62. The Signature Dining Package, which includes a dinner in Pinnacle Grill and Canaletto, increased from $35 to $44, while a package of Pinnacle, Tamarind and Canaletto available on the Nieuw Amsterdam and Eurodam increased from $50 to $65.
