HX, formerly known as Hurtigruten Expeditions, is adopting all-inclusive pricing.

The expedition brand will begin rolling out all-inclusive pricing later this year, opting for a phased-in approach beginning with Antarctica and Galapagos expeditions in October. The offer will be standard across the fleet in all destinations beginning in November.

Pricing will include wine, beer, cocktails and spirits; meals, coffee, tea and soft drinks; Wi-Fi; gratuities; daily expeditions like hikes and community visits; science-led activities on and off the ship; access to the sauna, hot tubs and fitness room; professional photographs; an expedition jacket to take home; and a reusable water bottle.

The shift is in response to feedback from travel partners and guests, said chief commercial officer Alex Delamere-White.

"Expedition cruising can be a complex product for agents to sell, given the unique destinations we visit and varying experiences by operators. We're confident that by including so many elements as standard in the price, we can simplify life onboard and enhance our trade-friendly focus," he said.

The move comes as the line rebrands from Hurtigruten Expeditions to HX and seeks to increase its number of North American customers, who make up less than a quarter of the line's guests.
