MSC will begin cruising from Galveston on Nov. 9, 2025, operating seven-night sailings on the MSC Seascape from the Texas port.

MSC said a new terminal will be located at Galveston Wharves Pier 16, and that more details on MSC's port facilities are forthcoming. The line said it "remains pleased with the ongoing negotiations surrounding the Port of Galveston's future Terminal 16."

Expanding to Galveston is a "pivotal moment" for the line, said MSC Cruises USA president Ruben Rodriguez.

"Expanding our U.S. footprint makes our unique cruise experience more accessible to travelers in the central and western parts of the country and it illustrates our commitment to providing families in the region with unparalleled vacation options," Rodriguez said. "MSC Seascape's family-friendly amenities, award-winning entertainment and innovative offerings will help us deliver exceptional value and memorable journeys for more guests than ever before."

The Seascape, a ship that currently homeports in Miami, entered service in December 2022. The ship has 7,500 square feet of dedicated kids' space and features the Robotron robotic-arm ride, two LEGO rooms for children ages 3-6 and 7-11, three concept spaces for teens, a VR 360° Flight Simulator, VR motorcycles and the immersive MSC Formula Racer.

Accommodating 4,540 passengers at double occupancy, the Seascape has 12 categories of suites and staterooms with balconies, including the aft suites featured on all Seaside-class ships. The ship has 11 dining venues and 19 bars and lounges, with many options for al fresco dining and drinking.

MSC says the ship has one of the largest and most luxurious MSC Yacht Club facilities in its fleet, with approximately 32,000 square feet of exclusive space featuring sweeping ocean views from the front of the ship.

Other ship features are a 1,772-foot waterfront promenade and the glass-floored Bridge of Sighs at deck 16.

Galveston cruises will call in the Mexican ports of Costa Maya and Cozumel as well as Honduran island Roatan.
