Oceania Cruises will make New York a seasonal homeport for the Insignia, starting in the summer of 2017.

The deployment begins Aug. 10, when the Insignia arrives at the Manhattan Terminal at the end of a 15-night cruise from Iceland.

It will continue sailing from New York through Oct. 20 on a series of 10- and 11-night itineraries to Canada, New England and Bermuda.

In 2018, the season will begin in July with a 14-night cruise from Miami to New York with calls in the Caribbean and Bermuda. That will be followed by trips out of New York from August to October.

In all, more than 20 departures from New York will be offered.
