Like the Seven Seas Explorer, Regent's ship due in 2023 will accommodate 750 passengers.

Regent Seven Seas Cruises will get another 750-passenger ship in 2023, a sibling to the Seven Seas Explorer (delivered in 2016) and the Seven Seas Splendor (due in 2020).

If no ships exit, Regent's fleet would grow to six ships.

The contract price for the vessel is approximately $543 million at current exchange rates. The ship will be built by the Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri.

"This new ship further strengthens our company's robust yet measured growth profile with vessels now on order for all three of our award-winning brands," said Frank Del Rio, CEO of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings, parent company of the luxury Regent Seven Seas brand.

Del Rio said the new ship would enable NCLH to expand its presence globally, further diversify its product offerings and earn more money for NCLH shareholders.
