Malaysian magnate Lim Kok Thay has formed Resorts World Cruises, and a former Dream Cruises ship will be the line's first vessel.

The Genting Dream's first voyage for the new line will depart Singapore on June 15. The Genting Dream was delivered in 2016 and has a capacity for 3,348 passengers at double occupancy.

Lim was the chairman and CEO of Genting Hong Kong, the cruise company that filed for liquidation last January, resulting in the demise of Crystal Cruises, Star Cruises and Dream Cruises.

The new line is affiliated with hotel-casino company Resorts World, which is also controlled by Lim. In a news release, Resorts World Cruises said it was "expanding from land experiences to the seas of the world."

The former Crystal Cruises ships, the Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity, are slated to come up for auction in June.
