Royal Caribbean is getting in on the World Cup frenzy this summer, being named an official Miami "host city supporter" for the soccer tournament.
Through the partnership, Royal Caribbean will help deliver fan-focused experiences in Miami throughout the tournament. One of the events will be the FIFA Fan Festival at Bayfront Park, which will have match broadcasts, live entertainment, food vendors and brand pop-ups. Royal Caribbean will also be involved in stadium tours and soccer player appearances for fans.
Miami is one of 16 cities in North America that will host World Cup matches this summer.
Royal Caribbean has a history of soccer sponsorship in Miami. It partnered with Inter Miami CF in 2023, the year superstar Lionel Messi signed with the Major League Soccer team. Royal Caribbean's logo has been on the front of the team's jerseys since 2024.
Messi played the role of godfather for the Icon of the Seas, though he was called its "icon" rather than its "godfather."
