Royal Caribbean said it has named the two ships being built under the Project Sunshine program.

The ships will be called Quantum of the Seas and Anthem of the Seas. They will debut in the fall of 2014 and the spring of 2015, respectively.

Going forward, the ships will be known as the Quantum class.

The two ship names were among those filed on Nov. 2 with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

Royal Caribbean said that with the release of the names, the first piece of steel has been cut at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany, where both ships will be built.
