Quark Expeditions has named Sam Seward president of the polar expedition cruise line.

Seward moves into the role after having led Travelopia Group's adventure brands, including Exodus Adventure Travels and Sawadee Reisen, which promote and sell Quark in Europe. He has also served as chief sustainability officer at Travelopia.

Seward succeeds Andrew White, who had served as Quark's president since 2014. White will retire from the company at the end of the year.

Quark sails three ships: the Ultramarine, Ocean Explorer and World Explorer. Each carries fewer than 200 guests.
