Swan Hellenic's new expedition ship, the SH Vega, was christened on Monday at Helsinki Shipyard in Finland.

The ship's godmother, Patrizia Zito née Passalacqua, conducted the traditional breaking of the champagne bottle on the ship's hull. Zito is the wife of Swan Hellenic's CEO, Andrea Zito.

The 152-passenger SH Vega is sailing its inaugural three-day cruise to Copenhagen before starting a summer of Arctic sailings from Tromso, Norway, on July 20.

Swan Hellenic took delivery of the Vega's sister ship, the SH Minerva, last December.
