Viking Ocean Cruises will operate a 245-day, 113-port world cruise in 2019, calling it the longest continuous cruise itinerary.

The eight-month Ultimate World Cruise on the Viking Sun will touch every continent except Antarctica, visiting 59 countries and offering 22 overnights on a circumnavigation of the globe.

The 930-passenger Sun will depart London on August 31, 2019, and will nearly double the length of the company's previous world cruise itinerary. Passengers will be able to choose to sail one of two shorter segments during the cruise: a 127-day sailing from London to Los Angeles visiting 33 countries and 61 ports, or a 119-day cruise from Los Angeles to London visiting 29 countries and 55 ports.

Ports of call will include Greenwich, England; Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; Tasmania, Australia; Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam: Mumbai, India; Luxor, Egypt; and eight new-to-Viking ports in South America, including two ports in Chile, three in Peru, and stops in Ecuador and Panama.

The Viking Ultimate World Cruise starts at $92,990 per person and includes business-class airfare and all gratuities.
