HONOLULU -- After 18 years, the Turtle Bay Hilton on Oahu's north
shore is no more.
Hilton was scheduled to take its name off the hotel Sept. 1 when
Benchmark Hospitality assumed management of the property.
Neither Hilton nor Benchmark officials would comment on the
change in management.
"The only thing we really have to say is that through a mutual
agreement with the owners, Hilton will no longer manage it," a
Hilton spokeswoman said.
A Benchmark spokesman confirmed the change.
Benchmark manages 24 resorts and conference centers in 13 states
and in Canada, Japan and Thailand.
