Rates & Dates: D.C.'s Mandarin Oriental is thinking pink this spring

In time for the National Cherry Blossom Festival, slated for March 31 to April 15, the Mandarin Oriental, Washington D.C. is offering the Cherry Blossoms Bloom overnight plan as well as the Cherry Blossom Bliss spa package, both available March 23 to April 29.

The overnight plan is priced from $379 for a deluxe room or $979 for a one-bedroom suite and is priced per room, per night, double.

The plan features valet parking, a trio of cherry treats (a cherry dessert made by the hotel's pastry department, cherry-flavored chocolates and gummy cherries) and American breakfast for two in the hotel's Cafe MoZU.

The Cherry Blossom Bliss spa treatment is a two-and-a-half-hour exfoliating treatment that combines a cherry sugar scrub, body wrap and an 80-minute aromatherapy massage. The price is $420 plus gratuities.

Bermuda's Fairmont Southampton has partnered with World Poker Tour Events, the events division of the World Poker Tour, to offer the Poker in Paradise with WPT Events plan.

The three-night plan is valid from Feb. 8 to 11 and will be highlighted by a poker tutorial with Mike Sexton, a professional player and commentator known in poker circles as the "Ambassador of Poker."

The plan also includes a welcome reception and dinner with Sexton, a closing dinner, a three-hour session of pick-up poker, a WPT Events Texas Hold 'em tournament and one golf clinic at the Fairmont Southampton Golf Course.
