DELTA AIR LINES is boosting its service to Cancun from Atlanta April 12. On that date, the airline plans to introduce a Saturday-only nonstop roundtrip Atlanta-Cancun flight aboard a 737-800 aircraft with room for 150 passengers in a single-class configuration. The new flight will be in addition to the two daily Atlanta-Cancun flights offered by Delta's code-share partner, Aeromexico. Meanwhile, Delta announced it will use a bigger plane for its Saturday nonstop roundtrip from Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky Airport to Cancun. The flight will be operated using a 757 aircraft with room for 183 passengers in a two-class configuration. Delta began the service last summer using a 737 with room for 148 passengers.

AEROMEXICO VACATIONS launched a "second person flies free" promotion for clients booking a six- to 14-night package to Mexico by Feb. 21 for travel through June 30. All packages include roundtrip air on Aeromexico (including a free roundtrip ticket for a second person), hotel accommodations, roundtrip airport transfers and Club Premier frequent-flyer miles for members. SPEAKING OF VAX, agents who book a MexSeaSun package through March 15 using VAX will receive a $10 cash bonus. This is in addition to MexSeaSun's 15% commission for using electronic distribution. Also, MexSeaSun will offer a $50 discount per package when agents use promo code 03MXTA to book a complete vacation with MexSeaSun. Packages must be booked by Feb. 28 for travel through April 30. In addition, the agency with the most MexSeaSun bookings via VAX will win a complete vacation to Cancun for two. This offer is valid for new bookings made through VAX by Feb. 28 for travel Feb. 1 to April 30. The winning agency/agent will be notified by May 30.

MEXICO SPECIALIST Pleasant Holidays launched a revamped version of its PleasantAgent.com Web site. New features include a re-engineered booking engine offering comparison shopping for air fares, hotels, rental cars and airport transfers, as well as two-click destination booking capability for each advertised special. The site also includes destination overviews, hotel and resort descriptions, e-mail newsletters, and sales flyers and brochures downloadable in PDF format.
