WESTPORT, Conn. -- Caneel Bay, a Rosewood Hotels & Resorts
property on St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands, was acquired by private
equity firm Equis Financial Group and several affiliates, including
Rosewood, from Deutsche Bank.
Rosewood has managed the 166-unit resort since 1993, and as part
of the transaction, entered into a long-term management
contract.
Equis' resort portfolio also includes Kirkwood Mountain Resort
in Kirkwood, Calif., and Durango Mountain Resort in southern
Colorado.
