The world domination of celebrity chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten is set to continue with the opening of his restaurant at the Connaught in London's Mayfair district. The eatery, whose name has not yet been chosen, will debut in the spring.
To be located at the front of the hotel overlooking Mount Street, the restaurant will accompany the existing two-Michelin-star restaurant on the other side of the hotel.
Vongerichten's new enterprise, which will feature the chef's signature farm-to-table cooking style, will be designed by architect John Heah, who recently completed a redesign project at sister hotel the Berkeley.
Vongerichten has his hand in 30 restaurants worldwide, including in New York, Paris, Shanghai and Tokyo. He has published five cookbooks and has made numerous TV appearances.
