Throughout September, the Island of Hawaii will celebrate 30 Days of Aloha, an annual event with a host of cultural activities and live events.
Some of the highlights include a poke contest at Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort on Sept. 7, a storytelling competition at the Kailua Theatre on Sept. 14, and the 44th Annual Waimea Paniolo Parade followed by the Waimea Hoolaulea (Block Party) on Sept. 21.
