Honolulu Pride, taking place from Oct. 11 to 20, will start off the 2019 celebration with Rainbows over Waikiki, the installation of 160 10-foot-high Rainbow banners throughout the resort corridor.

Other events include National Coming Out Day (Oct. 11) at the University of Hawaii, Manoa, a month of artist recognition at Arts at Mark's Garage, film screenings, fashion shows, youth LGBTQ workshops and a 5K race.

It all leads up to the annual parade on Kalakaua Avenue and festival at the Waikiki Shell Diamond Head Greens (Oct.19).
