Gerald Glennon has been named general manager of the Kahala Hotel & Resort, an Oahu luxury property owned by ResortTrust Hawaii.
Prior to joining the Kahala, Glennon served as director emeritus and a senior advisor for the Modern Honolulu, a luxury boutique hotel on the western edge of Waikiki. He was also the general manager for 12 years at the Halekulani, a luxury resort in Waikiki.

"Gerald is widely regarded as a consummate hospitality executive with a track record for reimagining luxury resorts," Duke Ueda, vice president of ResortTrust Hawaii, said in a statement. "His arrival signals a new era in The Kahala's legacy."
Glennon is an executive board member of the Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau and chairman of the Oahu Visitors Bureau as well as a board member of the Hawaii Tourism and Lodging Association.
