The Sheraton Waikiki unveiled its new 30th-floor Leahi Club Lounge Jan. 21, officially capping the property's $188 million renovation.
Built at a cost of $1 million, Leahi features panoramic views of Waikiki Beach and the destination's towering skyline. The original Hawaiian name for Diamond Head crater, Leahi also offers some of the best views of the iconic formation in all of Honolulu.
"Leahi will allow Sheraton Waikiki guests to relax and enjoy a one-of-a-kind lounge experience in a contemporary Hawaiian setting, distinct F&B offerings and amazing views, and it is our hope that this will attract an entirely new market of discerning travelers to our resort," said Kelly Sanders, Sheraton Waikiki general manager. "This is the crowning jewel on our resort's renovation and one that will benefit our guests, whether they're traveling as honeymooners, as a family or with a group."
Featuring a "sophisticated, contemporary Hawaiian elegance," the lounge includes a bar area, buffet food service from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., a media center with flat-screen TVs and projectors, computer work stations, high-speed wireless internet throughout and a 12-person executive boardroom. Lounge-goers can also enjoy nightly musical entertainment.
Guests booking premium rooms on the 21st, 22nd, 29th and 30th floors will have unlimited access to the Leahi lounge, while guests staying elsewhere in the 1,636-room Sheraton Waikiki can purchase access for $75 per person per day.
