Wailuku First Friday comes back: Travel Weekly

A free Maui community event beloved by locals and visitors, Wailuku First Friday returned in August after a four-year hiatus — and continues Dec. 6.

Started in 2008, the monthly family-friendly street party takes place in Wailuku Town, where vendors include food trucks and local artists and crafters selling one-of-a-kind goods. Visitors can stop by booths, try the different foods and shop and support local businesses. There are also live music performances.

It's "a wonderful opportunity for the community to come together and enjoy everything Wailuku has to offer," event coordinator Daryl Fujiwara said in a statement.
