A
year after Hurricane Odile ravaged Los Cabos, the destination has made a
remarkable comeback, showing off a whole new look. A big part of that comeback has been the recent reopening of the Hotel el Ganzo and Casa del Mar Golf Resort & Spa,
both of which have implemented sizable incentive programs for travel agents.
The Questro Rewards Program offers cash-back incentives
to agents for reservations made at the Hotel El Ganzo (elganzo.com) and Casa
del Mar (casadelmar.com.mx).
Through the program, incentives are awarded on the basis of rooms/nights; a
room/night is defined as a confirmed and completed overnight stay during valid
program dates.
Cash
incentive bonuses will be paid during the month following the booking
registration. To register, visit www.questrorewards.com/login/agent_login. The
program is offered to travel agents who
book reservations at a retail travel agency, hotel webpage or Hotel Direct.
Agents wishing to register must have a valid IATA registration.
Hotel
el Ganzo reopened Nov. 1 following a major redo in the wake of Odile. The property
was essentially destroyed by the storm but has re-emerged with a few new
touches. The hotel now has 60 deluxe oceanview rooms as well as three Master,
four Large and two Very Large suites. Dining options include the Gachoo Sushi
Bar; the Upstairs Bar, which wraps around the infinity pool and Jacuzzi; Ganzo
Downstairs restaurant overlooking the marina; and the private Beach Club
Restaurant. El Ganzo also has a swimmable beach, which is a rarity in Los
Cabos.
El
Ganzo has also reintroduced its artists-in-residence program. There is an
in-house recording studio, artists installations and music performances
scheduled regularly on site.
The
Casa del Mar, which also reopened in November, offers a more
traditional luxury stay in Mexico. It is a traditional hacienda-style resort
overlooking the Sea of Cortes and featuring 54 rooms, including three Romance
suites, five Luxury one-bedroom suites and four Presidential two-bedroom
suites. Other amenities include two pools, three restaurants, two bars and
lounges and the Suenos del Mar Spa, which spans almost 4,900 square feet.
