The Marriott Puerto Vallarta Resort & Spa has completed an $18 million renovation.

The renovation involved a complete makeover of its 433 ocean-facing rooms. Renovations include a new color palette of neutral sand tones with blue and silver accents. The new rooms also feature abstract wallpaper depicting an agave plant, as well as light fixtures with woven lamp shades. Bathroom upgrades include rainforest showers, granite vanity countertops with chrome fixtures and upgraded lighting.

The renovations began in 2017 and also include a renovation of the lobby entrance, now with an open-air layout, swinging pod chairs and an ice cream parlor; a new Ceviche & Tequila Bar with 180 types of tequila; a new raised pool deck area and 700 new lounge chairs; a new Coco Bar located under a poolside palapa, which serves coconut water and cocktails; and renovations to the sports bar, the Mikado Japanese Restaurant and Deli Los Mangos.
