New indigenous-themed treatments are the highlight of the updated spa menu at Grand Fiesta Americana Coral Beach Cancun's 40,000-square-foot Gem Spa.

lecting the destination's heritage and location, several new treatments are inspired by ancient healing practices and are now available. Guests can choose from massages, facials and body wraps that all tap into the wellness secrets of the region.

Five of the new treatments include Mayan Princess Body Treatment, which softens and revitalizes skin, and incorporates vanilla, which the Mayans used as an offering to the gods. The Mayan Prince Body Treatment uses Chaya, a native healing plants from the Yucatan. It is known for its soothing and repairing properties and is an excellent remedy for sunburned or stressed skin.

The Traditional Thai Massage combines acupressure and stretching techniques; the Mesotherapy Facial is designed for men and women with individual skin concerns and offers lifting action and rejuvenation; and the Ritual Caribe Mexicano begins with a Caribbean shell massage to ease tension.
