Minor Hotels, an international hotel group with properties in 56 countries, has partnered with the Cavaleros Group to manage a hotel in Johannesburg, South Africa. This marks the debut of Minor Hotels' NH Collection brand in Africa.
Minor will take over management of the 329-key hotel on July 1 in the city's Sandton financial district. It will initially operate as the NH Sandton but will be rebranded the NH Collection Sandton once renovations are completed.
The Cavaleros Group, a major property group in South Africa, has owned and operated the hotel for 30 years.
Minor Hotels plans to use this partnership as a springboard for further expansion into Africa, specifically targeting South Africa.
