Registration has opened for CruiseWorld, Travel Weekly's annual event that features general sessions jam-packed with industry leadership, supplier training programs, peer training, a diverse exhibitor showcase and three days of ship inspections.
The conference will be held Nov. 9 through 11 in Fort Lauderdale, with ship inspection options in Fort Lauderdale and Miami on Nov. 8, 12 and 13.
CruiseWorld's Select Travel Advisor Recognition, or STAR Program is also now open for applications. As part of Travel Weekly's ongoing commitment to supporting the professional development and growth of the travel adviser community, this program will host 300 prequalified agents for a series of collaborative meetings with CruiseWorld's exhibiting suppliers. Advisers who are selected to participate in STAR receive complimentary registration and hotel accommodation for two nights.
Traditional registration opportunities are available for those who do not wish to apply to STAR.
Alicia Evanko-Lewis, senior vice president of events for Northstar Travel Group, Travel Weekly's parent company, said that last year's inaugural STAR Program was a "tremendous success."
"The supplier attendees were extremely impressed with the caliber of our travel adviser attendees, and our travel advisers reported amazing leaps in their business after participating," she added. "As an organization, we will continue to make financial and professional commitments to help bring the best of the travel industry together to learn and do business."
Attendees at last year's STAR program agreed; Krista Mayne of Wasatch Travel in Midway, Utah, called it "a game changer."
"I booked two big groups immediately after," she said. "The suppliers and the friends I gained there are invaluable."
