Alaska Photo Treks has introduced a twilight tour that turns the lens on Anchorage at night.
The four-hour Alaska Nightscapes photo tour explores destinations in and around the state's largest city, including Chugach State Park and Turnagain Arm. Along the way, guests learn about light painting, star trails photography and other nighttime photo techniques, practicing on both streetscapes and dark-sky destinations.
While outings are not meant to be aurora borealis tours, opportunities to shoot the northern lights sometimes occur when conditions allow.
Alaska Photo Tours is offering Alaska Nightscapes departures daily through April 12, 2020.
