As wildfires burn in and around Los Angeles and California's wine country in the northern Bay Area, destination marketing organizations are trying to stave off mass cancellations by informing travelers exactly where fires are burning.

"A vast majority of the Golden State is currently unaffected by fires," says a note on Visit California's website.  The site offers a variety of information resources for the areas where fires are impacting tourist destinations.

Visit the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection's website for the latest on wildfires in the state.

Visit Napa Valley's website says, "There are no active wildfires within Napa County" and that "most Napa Valley hotels, wineries, restaurants and other businesses are open and welcoming guests."

The northern part of Sonoma County, however, has been under siege due to the Kincade Fire. Its website notes that hotels in the southern portion of the county are open and accepting reservations. The Sonoma County Airport is closed.

In Southern California, Discover Los Angeles' website says that the Getty Center and Getty Villa, the Skirball Cultural Center and the Eames House are all safe from fire but closed on Tuesday.
