After vacating its iconic tent at Caesars Palace because of stricter pandemic-related capacity restrictions in December, "Absinthe" is preparing to return with a 153-seat capacity on March 17.
Spiegelworld's baudy production is among the high-profile shows coming back to stages with capacity limits and other health protocols in place.
"Absinthe" is scheduled for 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. Wednesdays through Sundays.
Tickets starting at $149 are on sale at Spiegelworld.com. A limited number of VIP tables ($1,000 per
table) will include a bottle of Dom Perignon.
Prior to entering the venue, guests will be asked a series of questions about their recent health and will undergo a no-contact temperature check before being ushered to their color-coded pod in the outdoor courtyard. Audiences are brought in and out of the venue by section to avoid congestion at entrances and exits.
Masks are required to be worn by all artists, staff and patrons indoors and outdoors. Guests may remove their mask only while drinking. A cashless, QR code-based cocktail service eliminates lines at the bar, and all frequently touched surfaces are sanitized before and after every performance.
After closing at the outset of the pandemic, "Absinthe" returned in October with a capacity of about 150. It operated at that level until mid-December, when it went on hiatus after the governor announced shows had to limit capacity to only 50.
