The Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, Calif., has introduced a limited-capacity, ticketed experience at its Disney California Adventure Park beginning March 18: A Touch of Disney.
The resort's two theme parks, Disneyland and California Adventure, have been closed per state coronavirus guidelines since March, despite executives' pleas with the state to look to the success of its Florida reopening and reconsider guidelines for theme parks in California.
A Touch of Disney invites guests to enjoy food and drinks from around the Disneyland Resort, see physically distanced characters, shop merchandise and snap away in unique photo locations. It will feature its own curated soundtrack.
Park attractions will not be open.
Between this new event and the recent reopening of outdoor dining on the resort's Buena Vista Street, Disney said 1,000 cast members will have returned to work.
A Taste of Disney will be held Thursdays through Mondays, from noon until 8 p.m.
A $75 ticket includes admission, parking, unlimited downloads of Disney PhotoPass photos taken at the experience and a $25 dining card valid for the purchase of food and nonalcoholic beverages.
Tickets will go on sale March 4 for select experiences from March 18 to April 5. After that, tickets for additional dates will be released on a rolling basis until the experience ends; Disney has not disclosed an end date. Tickets must be purchased online at Disneyland.com for a specific date; prices are subject to change.
