Orlando's Villas of Grand Cypress resort, which ceased operations last fall, is currently undergoing a billion-dollar-plus redevelopment and will be reborn as the Evermore Orlando Resort by summer 2023.
The first phase of the 1,100-acre project, which borders Walt Disney World, will comprise a 433-room hotel branded under Hilton's luxury Conrad Hotels & Resorts flag and a variety of vacation rental accommodations, including 69 homes ranging in size from five to 11 bedrooms, 76 four-bedroom apartments and 41 two- and four-bedroom villas.
The Conrad Orlando at Evermore will house amenities like 40,000 square feet of indoor meetings space, a spa and several dining options, including a rooftop venue.
The broader complex will also offer guests access to a man-made beach and lagoon featuring zero-entry swim areas, bars, cabanas, fire pits and an "aquatic adventure area" with a waterslide, rope swing and various watersports.
Other highlights at the Evermore Orlando Resort will include a food hall and gourmet market, a casual restaurant, a new Nicklaus Design 18-hole golf course and a two-story boathouse that will host weddings and other events.
Additionally, all vacation rental accommodations in the complex will be fully owned, managed and operated by the property's on-site team.
"Our approach solves the No. 1 problem for vacation renters: uncertainty in the quality of the home," said Christopher Kelsey, president of Evermore Orlando Resort developer Dart Interests, in a statement. "Our centralized ownership model makes it possible for our guests to be certain that they are getting a first-class home with superior safety standards."
