Fla. hotelier changes name, adds a fourth property

|

The former Rochester Resorts on Florida’s Sanibel Island has taken a new name and added a new lodge to its management umbrella.

Now called Sanibel Captiva Beach Resorts, the company manages the three former Rochester properties: Beachview Cottages on Sanibel, 'Tween Waters Inn Island Resort & Spa on Captiva and Sanibel's Castaways Beach and Bay Cottages. In addition, it has added the West Wind Inn on Sanibel to its portfolio.

The West Wind Inn already had many of the same investors as Rochester Resorts, making the merger a logical move, Sanibel Captiva Beach Resorts said in announcing the deal.  The properties will maintain their uniqueness while cumulatively providing Sanibel Captiva Beach Resorts with a wider variety of accommodations, according to company officials.
