A Las Vegas holiday tradition lives on in spite of the pandemic: The Cosmopolitan's Ice Rink will return Nov. 18 for its ninth consecutive season.
The Boulevard Pool area will become a rooftop winter wonderland with a 4,200-square-foot skating rink made of real ice. Seasonal cocktails and food, socially distanced fire pits and classic holiday films on the resort's 65-foot marquee are also part of the holiday festivities. (Fire pits are limited to family/small/reserved groupings; reservations must be made at [email protected].)
Social distancing and reduced capacity of 60 skaters at the Ice Rink will be strictly enforced, and guests will be required to wear face coverings unless eating or drinking while seated.
The menu includes grilled cheese and tomato soup, s'mores kits for tableside roasting, warm churros and a variety of sliders. Drinks include the Egg Noggy Nog with Maker's Mark bourbon and the Sugar Plum Fairy with Belvedere vodka, Oloroso sherry, Allspice dram, cinnamon, sugarcane spirit and Red Bull.
All-day skating access (nonhotel guests, $30; hotel guests, $20) includes skate rentals. Guests may also bring their own skates, but the same rates apply. Admission to area surrounding the rink is free. Advanced ticket purchases and reservations are encouraged.
