Juneau Food Tours is extending a 15% commission to travel agents who book clients on the company's culinary tours. The commission applies to all Juneau Food Tours outings, including private group excursions.
Launched in 2015 by local food writer and tourism veteran Kelly "Midgi" Moore, the company's flagship walking tour weaves sightseeing and culture into a 1.2-mile trek through downtown Juneau. The tour includes nine tastings, ranging from regional seafood to craft beer to candy.
Moore also offers a seasonal speakeasy-themed Prohibition Progressive Party tour, which adds historical context to the city's food and drink, and a wine education series focused on the world's top wine-growing regions.
This summer, the new Juneau Bites & Booze tour brought a cocktail-focused experience to the company's menu. The seasonal outing, available between May and September, makes eight tasting stops during a 2.5-hour walk around Alaska's capital city.
