The M Resort Spa Casino in Henderson, Nev., just south of the Las Vegas Strip, is set to open its second hotel tower on Dec. 1.
The $206 million expansion will almost double the resort's capacity, bringing it to 765 rooms and suites. Meetings space will also increase with the new 15,000-square-foot Montese Ballroom.
"We're thrilled to be unveiling our newest development in Henderson on the heels of our recent grand opening of the new Hollywood Casino Joliet in Illinois," said Jay Snowden, CEO and president of Penn Entertainment, the property's owner.
The company is also partnering with chef Emeril Lagasse to add Meril, a contemporary American restaurant. This will be the second location of the concept named after Lagasse's daughter, Meril; the first opened in New Orleans in 2016.
The M Resort Spa Casino features 92,000 square feet of gaming, 11 restaurants and bars, Spa Mio and a 100,000-square-foot pool and events area. The resort is the official team hotel of the Las Vegas Raiders, whose headquarters is located nearby.
