Universal Orlando Resort is bringing a little bit of New Orleans -- and a whole lot of star power -- to the park in the coming months.
The resort will celebrate Mardi Gras at Universal Studios Florida from Feb. 5 through April 24, and it has released a star-studded lineup of musicians who will offer live performances.
The celebration is included with admission to the park. Live music will be offered on select weekend dates. Among the headliners who will perform are Diana Ross (Feb. 12), LL Cool J, featuring DJ Z-Trip (March 5), Khalid (March 18) and Gavin DeGraw (March 20). In keeping with the New Orleans theme, brass bands will also perform daily throughout the park, and a Planet Mardi Gras parade, with six new floats in addition to Universal's traditional lineup of floats, will wind through the park's streets on select dates.
There will also be a number of specialty culinary items for sale throughout the park as well as a Float Factory Warehouse Tribute Store. In the highly themed retail store, guests will be able to see the process of bringing a parade float to life, with everything from pencil sketches and models to an actual, full-size float.
