Tokyo-based developer Capbridge Group has acquired the property that was formerly the Maui Lu Resort, and plans to transform it into Maui’s first Hilton Grand Vacations timeshare resort. A 2017 opening date is targeted.

The $300 million Hilton Grand Vacations will include 388 residences as well as a gym and a kids’ center. The 28-acre site has 740 feet of beachfront.

Hilton Grand Vacations has seven properties in Hawaii, including five in Honolulu.
