“Bat Out of Hell -- The Musical,” a pyrotechnic rock ’n’ roll production, has opened at Paris Las Vegas.

The show tells the story of star-crossed lovers in a post-apocalyptic city through songs by Jim Steinman and Meat Loaf, including “Two Out of Three Ain’t Bad” and “I’d Do Anything for Love (But I Won’t Do That),” which was Meat Loaf’s only No. 1 single.

“With motorcycles, explosions and driving choreography, the 85-minute show fits beautifully into the Paris Theater,” director Jay Scheib said. “I am so excited for Las Vegas to finally see the cast and crew’s hard work, and Jim’s dream come to life on stage.”

A live band backs the 26-member cast.

“Bat Out of Hell -- The Musical” takes the stage at 7 p.m. Tuesdays through Thursdays and on Sundays and at 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Tickets start at $49 (plus tax and fees).
