Signs indicate that Las Vegas may get back to celebrating New Year's Eve in its usual style this year.

The traditional Strip-wide fireworks on New Year's Eve were canceled last year, as the city discouraged large gatherings amid the pandemic. While specific plans for fireworks over the Strip won't be announced until Thursday, Fireworks by Grucci is expected to return this year, igniting its pyrotechnics from a number of rooftop locations. And revelers will have plenty of options for ringing in the new year in the city. Among the planned offerings:

• The Plaza Hotel & Casino will have a room package and downtown Las Vegas' only fireworks show, staged from multiple locations on the property's roofs and towers. A portion of Main Street in front of the Plaza will be closed during the fireworks.

Its NYE 2022 VIP Room package (three-night minimum) includes a rooftop viewing party, a $50 food and beverage credit, a midnight Champagne toast and limited-edition Plaza memorabilia commemorating its 50th anniversary.

•  The Fremont Street Experience will add a fourth stage and host an '80s- and '90s-themed dance party with performers that include Vanilla Ice, the Village People, Bobby Brown and Tone Loc.

Revelers are encouraged to wear era-appropriate clothing and will enter the party in red-carpet style with photo opportunities to project their image on the overhead Viva Vision screen. For more information and to purchase tickets, go to vegasexperience.com.

• The Legacy Club on the 60th floor of Circa Resort & Casino downtown has general admission tickets starting at $500 for a prime spot to view fireworks displays throughout the city. Fire pits (for groups of up to 6 people or 12 people), Strip-view tables (up to six people) and couches (up for eight people) can be reserved.

• The Cosmopolitan is hosting a two-night engagement by Maroon 5 in the Chelsea and also plans a fireworks-viewing party atop the resort's rooftop Ice Rink. Go to the hotel's website for more information on the event.

• Grammy-winner Lizzo will perform at the Theater at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas with special guest DJ Sophia Eris. Tickets are available at axs.com.

• The newest venues at the Sahara Las Vegas will have an all-access pass ($60 plus tax, fees and gratuity) with live entertainment and a select premium open bar at the Casbar Lounge, Chickie's & Pete's Crab House and Sports Bar and Azilo Ultra Lounge starting at 9 p.m.

• "Absinthe" at Caesars Palace will open its Green Fairy Garden to the public (free admission) to watch the fireworks after the 10 p.m. performance. Festivities will include a live DJ and a bar. The Green Fairy Garden features a 35-foot sculpted tree covered in LED lights surrounded by festive foliage.
