St. Pete Beach's Sirata Beach Resort has reopened following a $15 million renovation that began in early 2018. All areas of the resort are now open, including the new Rum Runners Bar & Grille, the private beachfront lanais, a new breezeway and south pool area.

The Rum Runners Bar & Grille includes a lounge area with Adirondack chairs, cocktail tables, a fire pit and activities like a giant Jenga game and cornhole. A beach fire pit and lounge area along with poolside cabanas and sun loungers have also been added. The new Beachwalk pathway enables guests to cross the resort more easily, and the path is lined with tropical plants native to Florida's Gulf Coast.

Previously completed areas under renovation include the hotel's 382 guestrooms and suites (which start at $120 per night), the pool areas and kid's splash zone, a hanging chair "garden," upgraded meetings and events space, pet-friendly amenities, new entertainment programming and original murals by local artist Derek Donnelly.
