American Cruise Lines will name its third modern river ship
American Jazz.
The ship, to be delivered in 2020, will be slightly larger
than the first two ships in the series and will feature the same opening bow
and retractable gangway as the American Song and American Harmony.
The American Jazz is under construction at Chesapeake
Shipbuilding in Salisbury, Maryland, and is on schedule to begin cruising the
Mississippi in 2020, the company said.
American Cruise Lines has five modern riverboats planned for
the series, the first of which launched last year. The second will begin
sailing this summer.
