Air France canceled hundreds of flights Tuesday because of a strike by pilots, flight attendants and airport workers.

The airline said it axed about 50% of long-haul flights and 30% of all other flights on Tuesday, the second day of a planned four-day strike.

Air France said it was able to mitigate the impact of the strike on Monday, operating about 85% of long-haul flights and 75% of all others.

Air France has asked customers to postpone travel until after the strike.

French airline unions are protesting a proposed law that would require workers to individually give 48 hours' notice prior to striking.
