WestJet and its majority owner, Onex Partners, have completed the sale of 25% of the airline to Delta Air Lines, Korean Air and Air France-KLM, the Canada-based carrier announced Wednesday. The deal had been announced in May.
Under the terms of the agreements, Delta acquired a 15% stake, and Korean Air acquired a 10% stake in WestJet from Onex. Delta then sold a 2.3% stake to its joint-venture partner Air France-KLM, bringing its holding in WestJet to 12.7%.
