Airlines have waived change and cancellation fees for flights to and from Florida due to the probable arrival of Hurricane Dorian early next week.
American, Delta and JetBlue are all waiving change and cancellations fees for flights scheduled through Wednesday.
Alaska is waiving change and cancellation fees on Florida flights through Monday. In addition, those carriers won't charge for a fare difference on a near-term rebooking as long as the customer keeps the same city pairs and fare class.
Southwest never charges change or cancellation fees, but it is also waiving any fare difference on rebookings for Florida flights scheduled through Wednesday. The waiver applies to travel rebooked within 14 days of the original schedule.
United, Spirit and Frontier are also waiving change fees as well as fare difference costs ahead of Dorian's likely arrival, but their waivers don't include cancellation fees.
Allegiant has issued a travel alert for six Florida stations, but its website makes no mention of travel waivers.
Airlines are also including the Bahamas, and in some cases, airports in coastal Georgia and South Carolina, in their waivers. Details differ among airlines as to the exact travel dates to which the waivers apply and the dates by which rebookings must be made.
Details can be found on each carrier's website.
