Alaska Airlines will become the latest U.S. airline to deploy a health passport app for travelers coming into the U.S.
The carrier will use the Verifly health passport, which is the same one American is using. United has also deployed health passport functionality, but within its standard United consumer app.

Once the functionality goes live on Friday, Alaska customers can download the app, input their itinerary to learn about testing and entry requirements and then upload Covid-19 test results and fill out the required health attestation form.
Verifly will then review and verify the documents ahead of a flyer's arrival at the airport -- a process that could take up to six hours.
Alaska customers who use Verifly will enjoy a streamlined health confirmation process at the airport.
At present, all flyers entering the U.S. are required to show proof of a negative Covid-19 taken within 72 hours of departure or proof that they have recovered from the virus in the past 90 days.
