Allegiant Air will begin service in Colorado Springs, Colo.; Gulf Shores, Ala.; and Columbia, S.C.
The discount carrier has also announced 44 route launches between February and June, tied for the largest route announcement in its history.
Allegiant will debut in Colorado Springs on Feb. 12 with service to Phoenix's secondary airport, Phoenix-Mesa. Over the following two days, Allegiant will commence flights from Colorado Springs to John Wayne Orange County Airport and St. Petersburg, Fla.
Allegiant will make its entry into Columbia on May 15 with service to Dayton Beach, Fla. Flights to Fort Lauderdale will follow a week later.
The airline will launch service to six destinations from Gulf Shores between May 21 and May 24. They include Knoxville, Tenn.; Cincinnati; Houston Hobby; Kansas City; Bentonville/Fayetteville, Ark.; and Belleville, Ill., just east of St. Louis.
Overall, Allegiant's 44 new routes will touch 51 airports. The largest beneficiary will be Sarasota, Fla., with eight new connections: Greenville/Spartanburg, S.C.; Moline, Ill.; Albany, N.Y.; Elmira/Corning, N.Y; Omaha, Neb.; Roanoke, Va.; Lexington, Ky.; and Knoxville.
