Cathy Pacific will return to Seattle next spring.
Five-times weekly service connecting Seattle with Cathay's Hong Kong base will begin on March 30. The carrier last flew the route in March 2020, before suspending it at the start of the pandemic.
Cathay will operate Seattle-Hong Kong with A350-900 aircraft that offers business, premium economy and economy cabins.
The addition of Seattle will give Cathay seven U.S. destinations next summer; it also serves Boston, New York JFK, San Francisco, Chicago O'Hare, Los Angeles and Dallas-Fort Worth, which it began in April. The airline has not resumed prepandemic routes connecting Hong Kong with Washington Dulles and Newark.
Cathay Pacific is the lone carrier with announced plans to fly Seattle-Hong Kong.
