The new joint venture between Delta and Aeromexico will
begin five U.S-Mexico routes in the fall.
Pending government approval, Delta and Aeromexico will
jointly schedule and operate flights between Atlanta and Merida; Atlanta and
Queretaro; Los Angeles and Leon; Seattle and Mexico City; and Portland and
Mexico City.
The carriers didn’t give starting dates or frequencies for
the flights.
Delta and Aeromexico also said they would expand service
between Los Angeles and Los Cabos; New York and Cancun; Atlanta and Leon; and Atlanta
and Guadalajara.
By the end of the year, the carriers said they would
increase transborder seat capacity by 10%.
