Dominican carrier to join ARC

NEW YORK -- Queen Air, a new airline based in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, is joining the Airlines Reporting Corp.

The carrier recently received Transportation Department authority to fly to New York (Kennedy), Miami and San Juan, Puerto Rico, using leased A-320s.

ARC said agents may use Queen Air as the ticketing carrier on ARC ticket stock beginning Jan. 4.

Currently, the only form of payment for Queen Air sales is cash, ARC noted.

The carrier is appointing all ARC-accredited agencies automatically unless it notifies a specific location to the contrary. Its reservations line is (800) 897-0106.
